Pont Alexandre III Bridge at tnight in Paris, France.

This is the second of two images of the Alexandre III bridge in Paris during this visit. The bridge was not necessarily on my list of possible photo opportunities for this trip. I’ve seen the bridge photographed a thousand times and most of the images look pretty samey I’m afraid. However, following a leisurely walk from the Louvre, down through the park and onto Le Place De Concorde, we found ourselves at the bridge somewhat unexpectedly.
Whilst this image was being captured using filters and a long exposure to smooth the choppy water that was being kicked up by the constant stream of boats travelling the river, a couple of police cars crossed the bridge.
This gives an unusual dash of blue colour to the image which complements the yellow from the lights above the bridge.
Whilst a dark image because of the lack of moon or stars because the sky was completely overcast, I love the array of lights in this image and the subtle lighting on the stone work.
